Lut for Mari

Oliver Farkas <oliver...@...>

Hey guys,

was just wondering if you could give me an advice on Luts for Mari.

I saw that ocio now supports Mari, but only in version v1.3. We're using v1.2 and I'm not sure we're gonna upgrade in the near future, so I thought I'd bake one out, however Mari only supports only 1D luts as far as i could see. Can I use ociobakelut somehow to bake out a 1D lut that is accepted by Mari?

Thanks
Oliver

Sorry for not responding sooner, I'll check with Jack and see what 1d
lut formats mari 1.2 supports.

Thanks Jeremy,

we're probably gonna get 1.3v2 soon, but it'd be good to know anyway.

From Jack (author of Mari),

"The is one included in the default Mari I think it is called
default.lut In general it is a test file containing 0...1024 triples
for rgb. Normally 1024 entires."

0,0,0
1,1,1
2,2,2
...
1023,1023,1023

It would be pretty trivial to write up an OCIO python or C++ script to
output these Mari luts. Let me know if you'd like me to post some
code.

Hey Jeremy,

thanks for that. I know about the format, just thought there's a possibility to bake it out from the existing baker code.

Don't worry about it, we'll have 1.3v2 soon.

Thanks again.
