Playback and review standards

Here is a wiki page based on the presentation I gave today on potential playback and review metadata fields.

Briefly, I'm trying to focus on four topics:
  • Metadata that we should be embedding in any media that we are sharing (particularly, quicktime, mp4 files).
  • Sidecar files for list of files that are being sent for review (based on todays discussion this could also be an OTIO file)
  • File definitions for notes and annotations being sent back (again this could be an OTIO file).
  • Recommendations for file encoding, particularly for FFMPEG, but this could include other formats.
There is also a brief PDF of the powerpoint I presented. I welcome any feedback.
