hi, i am interested in evaluating osl for physical optical modeling. are there any renderers other than the in house renderer at sony that has hooks for osl? is it designed to be a replacement for the renderman shading language in renderman shaders? can i get a hold of an academic license for the inhouse renderer? is there a better name for the in house renderer? may i suggest radiosony (rhymes with radiosity)?

I am interesting to adapt OSL for our offline/interactive/realtime renderer, especially my lucille renderer which might implement some sort of physical and accurate calculation of optical phenomena. Although it depends on how "beautiful" and "practical" OSL language design is.
